Cold and Flu Season Can Be a Monster

Flu & Cold Season Can Be A Monster

Flu is prevalent in our community right now. Visit our Flu Resource Center to learn about flu prevention, signs and symptoms, and help us protect our patients, families and staff from RSV and the flu by following these visitation restrictions.

  • No visitors under the age of 12 are allowed in patient care areas.
  • Please do not visit patients if you are experiencing fever, vomiting, diarrhea or cold or flu-like symptoms.

February is Heart Month

Each February during American Heart Month, the WakeMed Heart Center takes the opportunity to step out and share the importance of taking care of your heart.

Whether it's undergoing a procedure, learning about risk factors for heart disease, considering healthier eating options or putting your best foot forward on the treadmill, your health is close to our hearts.

During February, WakeMed celebrates Heart Month by hosting a variety of heart-related events, screenings and seminars at various WakeMed locations, as well as organizing special promotions with local businesses.
