Intimacy & Sexual Health Program
Helping you rediscover comfort, connection and confidence after cancer.
Cancer changes many aspects of your life – intimacy and sexual health included. Whether you are navigating treatment or well into survivorship, it’s common to experience challenges with pelvic function, body image and connection with yourself or a partner.
WakeMed’s Intimacy & Sexual Health (WISH) program is designed to support men and women before and after treatment for breast, prostate, genitourinary (GU) and gynecologic cancers. We specialize in helping you rehabilitate the pelvic health and sexual function concerns often impacted by surgery, chemotherapy, radiation or hormone therapies.
We meet you with compassion, expertise and a plan to help you feel like yourself again – physically, emotionally and intimately.
