Meet Our Staff
Jeremy Gilmore
Director and ACPE Certified Educator
Reverend Jeremy Gilmore, PhD, MDiv is from East Chicago, Indiana and joined WakeMed in 2020. Previously, he served as the Coordinator of Clinical Pastoral Education at UNC REX Healthcare in Raleigh, NC and Assistant Director of Spiritual Care and Education at Carolinas NorthEast in Concord, NC. He completed his CPE training at the VA Hospital in Durham, NC. He has earned degrees at Indiana University and Duke University and completed his doctoral work at North Carolina State University. He is an ordained Baptist minister and values the liberating possibilities of spiritual care and education. Dr. Gilmore lives with his wife, Ashley, their two daughters Jocelyn and Jaelle and their affable dog, Jinx.

Jeanne Hale
Supervisor and ACPE Certified Educator
Reverend Jeanne Hale, MDiv, has degrees from Appalachian State University, NC State University and McCormick Theological Seminary. She came to WakeMed from Chicago in 2014, following the completion of her ACPE Certified Educator training. She is ordained and endorsed with the Federation of Christian Ministries. Hospitality as an approach to spiritual care and education is a particular interest. Hale lives in Raleigh with her wife, Zaida, and in their off time they enjoy being with friends and family, relaxing out on the back porch and traveling.

Laura Kelly
Staff Chaplain, WakeMed North Hospital
Reverend Laura Kelly, MDiv, MS, BCC, serves as Staff Chaplain for WakeMed North Hospital. Kelly cares deeply about hearing people’s stories — in listening, she seeks to hold space for the beauty and wholeness of being. Kelly completed her CPE residency at VCU Medical Center and has studied at Union Presbyterian Seminary, Virginia Commonwealth University and Florida State University. She has experience providing spiritual care in healthcare and hospice settings. Kelly is grateful to be in North Raleigh and to support the WakeMed North Hospital community.

Tina Morris-Anderson
Staff Chaplain and Health Equity Program Coordinator at WakeMed Center for Community Health
Reverend Tina Morris-Anderson provides spiritual care support and counseling for the WakeMed Center for Community Health and for WakeMed Home Health. She also leads for chaplaincy research for the WakeMed Spiritual Care department. An ordained Baptist minister, Tina holds a bachelor's, master's and master of business administration (MBA) from Duke University as well as a master's in pastoral counseling from Regent University. She has worked in the public, private and non-profit sectors and performs as a professional vocalist. Morris-Anderson lives in Raleigh with her husband Paul; they are the proud parents of two sons: Paul II and Noah.

Jesse O'Neal
Staff Chaplain, Emergency Services AED/CED, WakeMed Raleigh Campus
Jesse O'Neal had been engaged in pastoral care for many years at Christ Episcopal Church when he explored a call, in the Summer of 2014, to chaplaincy. He quickly fell in love with the work. A second CPE Intern Unit followed in the Fall of 2014 and then CPE Residency 2015-2016. In 2016, he joined the Emergency Services staff as Staff Chaplain with duties in both the Adult Emergency Department (AED) and the Children’s Emergency Department (CED). O'Neal's training in theology includes co-mentoring the four-year education for ministry (EfM) program at Christ Church and a masters in pastoral and spiritual care (MAPSC) at Iliff School of Theology in Denver. His current research interests include emotional/spiritual resiliency.

Molly Williams
Bereavement Program Coordinator, WakeMed Raleigh Campus
Reverend Molly Williams, MDiv, offers spiritual care and accompaniment as people make meaning and find connection amidst grief, loss and change. She understands grief as an act of love and seeks to provide support grounded in an attentive presence and reverent listening. Williams is an ordained Baptist minister (Alliance of Baptists) and holds degrees from Vanderbilt University Divinity School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her clinical pastoral education residency at WakeMed and is grateful to continue serving our community. She lives in Durham with her spouse, Andrew, and enjoys reading poetry, swimming and making art.

Andy Ross
Staff Chaplain, WakeMed Raleigh Campus
Andy Ross, MA received a bachelor's degree in religious studies from NC State University and a master's in contemporary spirituality from Loyola University Chicago. After training for two years under the minister of a spiritual community here in Raleigh, he was ordained in a shamanic ceremony, receiving the woodpecker as his totem animal. Ross spent years as an independent minister before entering the Clinical Pastoral Education program at WakeMed. He is currently a staff chaplain in the MICU and is passionate about staff care, interfaith education and Star Wars. Ross lives in Wake Forest, NC with his wife, two daughters and a cat named Pants.

Evan Owoc-Edwards
Staff Chaplain, WakeMed Cary Hospital
Reverend Evan Owoc-Edwards, MDiv, BCC serves as Chaplain for WakeMed Cary Hospital. Evan has a bachelor's degree in religion from Baylor University and a master of divinity degree from Duke Divinity School. He completed a CPE residency at WakeMed Raleigh Campus and was the Chaplain PSR Fellow at the VA Hospital in Durham. Owoc-Edwards is passionate about providing interfaith spiritual care that values and affirms all people, helping them to connect more deeply with themselves, each other and the surrounding world. Owoc-Edwards lives in Cary with his wife, Lou, their daughter, Poppy, and two rambunctious dogs, Waffles and Henry. Owoc-Edwards enjoys singing in choir at church, playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends and cheering for the Carolina Hurricanes.

Katy Medinas-Lockley
CPE Specialist and ACPE Certified Educator Candidate
Reverend Katy Medinas-Lockley, M.Div., provides spiritual care at WakeMed Cary Hospital. Born and raised in North Carolina, Katy has a bachelor's degree in religious studies from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, and a master's in divinity from Duke University in Durham, NC. She is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church with experiences in palliative care, home hospice and service in church ministry. Medinas-Lockley’s passion is located at the intersection of spiritual care and teaching work that she approaches with empathy and creativity.

Kimberley Gordy
CPE Fellow and ACPE Certified Educator Candidate
Kimberley Gordy, MDiv, BCC, provides spiritual care at WakeMed Cary Hospital. Maryland is her home state, so she loves steamed crabs and considers the Baltimore area home as much as the rural region where she was raised on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Kimberley earned her master of divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York. Her CPE journey began there and continued at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia for three years. Her academic interests in spiritual care lie at the intersection of faith and science. Her spiritual practices are rooted in reflection, introspection and informed by Christianity, Religious Naturalism, African traditional religions and indigenous spiritual wisdom.
Carmen Ulmer
Staff Chaplain, WakeBrook
Carmen Ulmer, MDiv, BCC, was born and raised in Durham, NC. She comes from a Christian non-denominational faith tradition and earned her bachelor’s in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, followed by a master of divinity from Liberty University. Her training includes a chaplaincy internship at UNC Wakebrook and first and second-year residencies at UNC Medical Center, where she was the neuroscience and psychiatric chaplain resident, developing skills and passion for the behavioral health community. She is board certified by APC and is an ordained and licensed minister through The National Association of Christian Ministers and her local church. She joined WakeMed in 2025 and is grateful to provide support and care for behavioral health patients and the dedicated staff who care for them.
Luwannah Hadding
Continuing Education (CE) Program Assistant
Luwannah Hadding serves as CE Program Assistant for the Department of Spiritual Care. Luwannah has been with WakeMed since 2017 and transferred to Spiritual Care from WakeMed Physician Practices. She will be supporting our director, staff chaplains, interns and residents in their everyday mission of caring for WakeMed staff, patients and families. She and her husband Scott have four children and three grandchildren. They live in North Raleigh and enjoy golfing and travel.
