Patient Information
WakeMed Cary Hospital utilizes a special check-in system for registration efficiency and increased patient privacy. When you check in at the Information Desk in the Main Lobby, you will be given a number specifically assigned to you. It will be used throughout your visit to the hospital.
Please wait in the seating area near the registration booths until your number is announced overhead. The number will also be shown on the TV monitors along with the number of the next available registration booth. At the registration booth, a Patient Account Representative (PAR) will ask for your number, a picture ID and an insurance card. Please have these items ready.
After you have been registered, you will be directed to the next department with instructions regarding your paperwork. If you have additional questions, please ask the PAR and he/she will be glad to help you.
A staff member will then meet you in the atrium and escort you back to the appropriate area.
*A parent or guardian must accompany anyone under the age of 18 to register for the exam unless the patient is emancipated or pregnant and the exam concerns the pregnancy. A legal guardian must accompany and sign the informed consent form for any altered mental status patient scheduled for any interventional procedure.
