Flu is prevalent in our community right now. Visit our Flu Resource Center to learn about flu prevention, signs and symptoms, and help us protect our patients, families and staff from RSV and the flu by following these visitation restrictions.

  • No visitors under the age of 12 are allowed in patient care areas.

Welcome to WakeMed Physician Practices — Primary Care — Downtown Raleigh (formerly City Center Medical Group).  We offer primary care and internal medicine services to patients in the downtown Raleigh, N.C. We are dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of a broad spectrum of illnesses in adults. Our goal is to give our patients an understanding of wellness and disease prevention to help them achieve a healthier, happier lifestyle.

What is Internal Medicine?
Internal medicine is a medical specialty focused on adult medicine, provided by caregivers with specific training focusing on prevention and treatment of adult diseases. Internal medicine doctors, otherwise known as internists, are often called on to treat chronic illnesses. They also focus on disease prevention and wellness. Doctors of internal medicine often collaborate with other specialists such as surgeons or cardiologists to coordinate a patient's care and manage medical problems associated with that care.

Vaccines: WakeMed Physician Practices is strongly committed to the health and safety of our patients. Our goal is to protect our patients from life-threatening diseases by requiring that all of our patients meet the minimum vaccination requirements published by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).
