WakeMed Stroke Support Group

Meets the 2nd Thursday of each month
10:30 to 11:30 am
WakeMed Rehabilitation Hospital – 2D Dining Room
3000 New Bern Avenue

Held in-person and virtually, the meetings include educational materials, speakers, presentations and support. We’ll discuss topics such as nutrition, activity after stroke and community resources available to you.

The 2D Dining Room is located on the second floor in the WakeMed Rehabilitation Hospital at WakeMed’s Raleigh Campus. Please allow yourself extra time to park and find the room.

Frequently Asked Questions

Visitors attending WakeMed Rehab’s support groups can park on the first floor of the P5 parking deck (shown in blue). You will be sent a code to access the deck with your monthly email reminder. Follow signs to the designated Outpatient Rehab parking area. Upon exiting the deck, turn right to enter the front entrance of the Health Park.

You may also use designated patient handicapped parking spots in the lot in front of the Health Park.

You can attend our stroke support group either in-person or virtually. Virtual meeting information will be shared in our monthly email reminder.

The American Stroke Association also holds a virtual weekly meeting on Fridays from 2 to 3 pm. To join, please contact Tsitsi Bergman at tsitsi@tsitsibergman.com  

Yes, this support group is open to all! You also do not have to receive care at WakeMed to come.
