Dr. Matthew Bologna is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in foot and ankle surgery. His clinical interests include ankle replacements, sports injuries, achilles tendon pathology, fracture care, foot and ankle arthritis, flat foot management, bunions, ankle sprains, diabetic foot care and limb salvage operations.
He attended undergraduate studies at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV, where he remained for medical school. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA and a foot and ankle fellowship in Grand Rapids, MI. He is also a member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society.
Dr. Bologna specializes in all aspects of foot and ankle care — ranging from nonoperative treatments, minor procedures, simple surgeries and complex foot and ankle reconstructive surgery. He practices a patient-centric philosophy, incorporating empathy, compassion and attuned understanding of foot and ankle pathology.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Bologna’s most important work is serving as husband as well as father to his young daughter. He’s also a fur dad to two goldendoodle dogs. Together, the family enjoys traveling, going to the beach, trying new foods, golfing and watching football.
