Zachary Powers, PA

Zach Powers is a physician assistant in general surgery. His primary clinical interests are trauma and critical care. He is drawn to the fast-paced, team-oriented nature of these fields and the opportunity to make a direct impact in moments when patients are most vulnerable. Powers began his postsecondary education at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. He then completed a master’s degree while attending Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC.

Powers believes in treating every patient as he would treat a member of his own family — with respect, empathy and honesty. He strives to provide patient-centered care that balances compassion with evidence-based decision making, especially in high-acuity settings where trust and communication are critical.

Outside of medicine, Powers enjoys golf, disc golf, movies, football, and the outdoors. These activities help him stay grounded and maintain balance outside of a demanding clinical environment.
