Zachary Bessette, PA-C

Zachary Bessette is a board-certified physician assistant with clinical interests in trauma, surgical critical care and general surgery. He earned his undergraduate degree while attending University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. He next completed his master’s through East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.

Bessette aims to meet patients where they are in their injury or trauma journey. In the trauma field, he often sees patients on their worst day, and remembering that helps him to understand a very small part of what they’re going through. He strives to put himself in each patient’s shoes and imagine if that were his spouse, parent, child or even himself, and how he would want to be treated.

Outside of work, Bessette loves to spend time with his wife, two daughters and their black lab. They love exploring outside and taking trips to the coast to boat and go to the beach. As a Navy veteran and member of the Army National Guard, taking care of veterans and military members is also a passion of his.
