Xueliang (Eric) Guo, NP

Eric Guo is a board-certified nurse practitioner with clinical interests in general internal medicine, health promotion, and patient education — particularly in areas related to gastroenterology/liver, cardiology and diabetes management. He began his postsecondary education at Shandong Medical College in China and remained there for his master’s degree. He earned a doctorate through Fudan University in China. Once he moved to the United States, he earned another bachelor’s degree through Duke University in Durham, NC, and a nurse practitioner master’s degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC.

Guo believes that patients are the masters of their own health. His role is to help them understand the nature of their health problems, guide them through appropriate care and interventions, while encouraging healthy lifestyle changes in order to reduce risk factors and promote their overall well-being, so they can reach their best potential and quality of life.

When not caring for patients, Guo enjoys hiking, biking, traveling, playing cards with family members and friends, listening to music and working on home maintenance repairs.
