About Me
Dr. Sahba Maani is a physician with board certification in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine. He brings a wealth of clinical expertise, having worked in hospital, private practice and integrative medicine settings throughout the world. Dr. Maani has experience serving as the director of respiratory medicine for two hospitals in Tucson, Arizona and has also served on the faculty of numerous teaching hospitals including Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona and the Midwestern University of Arizona’s College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Most recently, Dr. Maani joined WakeMed from a health system in Beijing, China where he led intensive care, inpatient, pulmonary and integrative medicine programs. Dr. Maani is a certified ayurvedic specialist and has earned diplomate status with the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. Dr. Maani’s approach to each patient and their illness is holistic, taking into consideration not only symptoms but the whole person and the root causes of the illness. In his free time, Dr. Maani enjoys playing tennis, practicing Yoga and traveling internationally.
