Marguerite Swick, DNP

Marguerite Swick is a board-certified, doctoral-prepared nurse practitioner. Her clinical interested include cardiology and education. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Vermont in Burlington, VT, and master’s degree in nursing from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She then earned a doctorate through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Swick worked for seven years as a registered nurse in acute care, critical care, cardiology, neuroscience and post-anesthesia care.

Swick focuses on a team-based approach when caring for patients. To build a trusting relationship, Swick involves her patients as much as possible in their treatment and prioritizes communication. Outside of work, Swick enjoys learning about diet and exercise, taking road trips to the mountains with her husband and two rescue dogs, and trying new restaurants.
