About Me
Dr. Jonathan Forbes is a board certified pulmonary and critical care medicine physician with clinical interests in critical care outcomes, quality improvement, lung cancer and severe asthma. Dr. Forbes received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency from Virginia Commonwealth University Health in Richmond and his fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine from Wake Forest University Baptist Health. Dr. Forbes joins WakeMed from Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he worked in both pulmonary and critical care in private practice.
Dr. Forbes main goal is to provide his patients and their families with every ounce of information available so that they can make their own informed decisions. He strives to provide educated guidance and compassionate care. When not at work, Dr. Forbes enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He also enjoys watching college and professional football, trying new restaurants, going to concerts, bourbon tasting and playing golf.
