About Me
Jessica Harner is a board-certified physician assistant with clinical interests in trauma and critical care, emergency medicine, disaster response and prehospital medicine. As a United States Army veteran, she brings more than a decade of military and field medical experience to her role at WakeMed. Her background provides a strong foundation in leadership, operational medicine and patient care in high-acuity environments.
Harner earned her degree through the interservice physician assistant program (IPAP), a rigorous joint military training program focused on evidence-based medicine and advanced clinical practice located at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
She is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with an emphasis on teamwork, communication and composure under pressure. Her practice philosophy focuses on collaboration and precision in trauma and emergency settings where coordinated decision-making is essential to optimal outcomes.
Outside of work, Harner maintains an active lifestyle through fitness and outdoor activities and enjoys spending time with her two golden retrievers.
