About Me
Jason Ho is a pediatric cardiologist with clinical interests in pediatric electrophysiology, including arrhythmias such as supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) and Wolff-Parkinson White (WPW), channelopathies and cardiomyopathies including familial screening and autonomic dysfunction.
Dr. Ho attended North Carolina State University as a Park Scholar and graduated with degrees in chemistry and biochemistry. He earned his medical degree from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University where he also completed a residency in pediatrics. He then completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN, and a senior fellowship in pediatric electrophysiology at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
Prior to coming to WakeMed in 2018, Dr. Ho was an assistant professor in pediatric cardiology and electrophysiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, FL. He is board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ho has published several articles and a textbook chapter.
Dr. Ho brings a unique perspective to pediatric cardiology as his oldest child was born with a congenital heart defect and underwent surgery at five months of age. This experience allows Dr. Ho to relate to patients and their families on both a professional and personal level.
Dr. Ho is married and has five children. He enjoys running and has participated in several half and full marathons.
