Chelsey Wylder, PA-C

Chelsey Wylder is a board-certified physician assistant with clinical interests in diversity and inclusion, in trauma/surgical critical care and emergency general surgery. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Clemson University in Clemson, SC. She earned her master’s degree through Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston Salem, NC. Then she finished her acute care surgery advanced practice provider fellowship at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA.

Wylder’s approach to patient care is centered on making every patient feel seen, heard and valued. She strives to bring compassion, empathy and positive energy to every interaction, even during difficult moments. She believes that while providing excellent medical care is essential, small acts of kindness and truly listening can make a meaningful difference. When she can leave a patient feeling supported or hopeful after they meet, she feels confident that she has done her job well.

Outside of work, Wylder enjoys teaching indoor cycling, playing pickleball and playing video games.
