24/7 Full-Service Emergency Department

In the event of a true medical emergency do not drive yourself, call 911 immediately.

When you or a loved one needs immediate medical attention, it's a comfort to know that the full-service, Garner Healthplex Emergency Department is nearby. Services for children and adults are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The emergency department includes:

• 12 private treatment rooms
• X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound testing
• An ambulance receiving area
• A dedicated patient reception and waiting room
• Pediatric emergency services backed by WakeMed Children's and Wake County's only Level I Trauma Center.

WakeMed Garner Healthplex also receives patients by local emergency medical services. The Emergency Department is staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians with specialty physicians available as needed. This facility and service will accommodate patients brought in by EMS in ambulances.

Parking

Surface parking is available next to the building, and patients can be dropped off and picked up under the covered entry via the circular drive.

Hours and Appointments

The emergency department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Outpatient radiology hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Outpatient laboratory services are available from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
