Storage or Stability
Ambient - 24 hours. Frozen - Plasma is stable for 3 months. Stability may vary if additional studies are ordered on the same sample. The test with the shortest stability should be considered when evaluating storage/stability for testing.
Causes for Rejection
Clotted, wrong tube type, grossly hemolyzed, <90% of the expected fill volume
Instructions
Freeze plasma if testing cannot be completed within ambient stability period.
