QNS and Hemolysis. Red cells are not separated within 2 hours.
Instructions
Do not use alcohol or other volatile disinfectants on the skin when collecting blood specimens. Suggested alternatives include soap and water, benzalkonium chloride wipes, iodine, or other suitable aqueous disinfectants. Using alcohol pads for cleansing the skin prior to venipuncture is acceptable for non-legal or non chain of custody sample collections.
Post mortem specimens or a specimen that is to be analyzed more than 24 hours post collection must be collected in gray top tube.
