Jen, Dr. Maani's medical assistant, came to say goodbye to me. Apparently, she has completed nursing school, and was not able to stay on with Dr. Maani because of (my words) bureaucracy. She took the time to come in and say goodbye and that she had enjoyed being of service to me these past five years, and that she would miss seeing me. I was sad to see her go, and moved that she took the time to see me. It shows her level of compassion for patients. It speaks well of the practice in general.

The entire appt. was smooth. From checkin in and out with Liz and Donielle, vitals with Gloria, seeing Dr. Maani and care instructions with Nurse Jen. Everyone is very caring and respectful and I appreciate that. This kind of care is not seen in many clinics. I would say Dr. Maani is exceptional. He truly cares about me and wants to help me get better in the best way possible for my health. He crossed off all the t's and dotted all the I's making sure to cover everything. My appointment took longer than most and at no point did I feel rushed. WakeMed is truly lucky to have him.
