Interventional Radiology

Interventional radiology employs advanced technology with guided imaging to treat complex conditions. Using digital fluoroscopy, interventional radiologists are able to see inside the body instantaneously.

They can deliver treatments at targeted locations within your body, using the tiniest catheters and probes, increasing treatment efficacy while minimizing side effects and recovery time.

How Interventional Radiology Works

Angio creates images of the body's organs and inside of blood vessels. It is particularly useful in creating images of the arteries and veins to help physicians see how well blood is flowing through them.

A special contrast agent is injected into the patient. The physician then uses X-ray technology to view blood flow or organ function.

Interventional radiology can be a welcome alternative to several surgical procedures since it allows physicians minimally invasive access to deliver precise treatments for challenging medical conditions.
