Surgical Technologist Apprenticeship


Surgery TechSurgical Technology programs prepare students to assist in the care of the surgical patient in the operating room and to function as a vital member of the surgical team, with responsibilities that include ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are in the operating room, setting up the procedure using sterile technique, gowning and gloving themselves and others, draping the patient, performing instrument counts, handling surgical specimens, and actively anticipating and passing instruments to the surgeon.
