Terri McDowell, MSN, AGNP-C

Terri McDowell is a board-certified adult gerontology nurse practitioner with clinical interests in women's cardiovascular health, education and prevention in cardiovascular health as well as care of heart failure patients. She began her postsecondary education at Barton College in Wilson, NC, where she earned a degree in business administration. She remained there and earned a bachelor of science in nursing. McDowell culminated her education at Duke University School of Nursing in Durham, NC, where he earned her master's degree. 

McDowell strives to be a partner who walks alongside her patients in their health care journeys. Her role is to educate and share her clinical knowledge and experience to help patients make decisions that fit with their goals of care.  

When not at work, McDowell delights in spending time with family; relaxing at the beach; and reading psychological thrillers, historical fiction and women's fiction.
