Simona Ilizarov is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in the management of acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions.

She earned both her undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, TX.

Ilizarov’s approach to patient care emphasizes empathy, active listening and collaboration. She is committed to treating the whole person rather than just the symptoms, taking into account each patient’s values, preferences and lifestyle. Ilizarov values building strong, trusting relationships with patients to ensure they are actively involved in their care decisions.
