About Me

Sean Childress is a board-certified physician assistant with clinical interests in orthopaedics and sports medicine. He began his postsecondary education at Texas Christian University before transferring to the University of North Texas in Denton, TX, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in health promotion. He went on to complete two master’s degrees, earning a master of business administration at University of Mississippi in Jackson, MS and a master of physician assistant practice at Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC.

Childress’ personal patient care philosophy is to ensure patients feel heard, as he provides sympathy and compassion in attending to their concerns and treating patient conditions from a holistic approach.

Outside of work, Childress enjoys sports, music and travel. He spends the vast majority of his time enjoying his children’s baseball tournaments and dance recitals.

WakeMed made it easy for me from making the appointment to seeing a specialist without me having to jump through hoops! All of the employees I encountered seemed to be glad to take care of my needs - this is hard to find in most industries today - particularly medical. My trigger finger issue was probably minor in the scheme of things but it interfered with my day to day activities & you all fixed this with great care!
