Scott Sexton, MD

Dr. Scott Sexton is a board-certified pediatrician with clinical interests spanning the breadth of pediatrics. He focuses on complex care, behavioral health, breastfeeding medicine and healthy living. Dr. Sexton began his undergraduate education at University of Georgia in Athens, GA. He completed medical school at The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He then relocated to Durham, NC, for his residency at Duke University Medical Center. He has medical publications and presentations to his credit.

Dr. Sexton’s goal is to provide comprehensive care and promote wellness within the entire family. He strives to be a physician who coaches in a proactive way. He engages children in their care early on, so they feel safe and heard. Thereby, he as well enlists shared decision making, helping families make informed medical choices.

When not seeing patients, Dr. Sexton enjoys playing guitar, being outside and spending time with his family.
