About Me
Sarah Butler is a board-certified physician assistant with clinical interests in structural heart, aortic aneurysm repair, valve repair and disease prevention. She received her master’s in physician assistant studies from Duke University and bachelor’s degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Butler is moderately proficient in conversational Spanish and previously worked at WakeMed in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab before attending PA school.
Butler believes in taking the time to thoroughly educate patients and their loved ones, answering questions with patience and thoughtfulness. She feels that this helps to form trust and a strong alliance between patients and providers and encourages a team approach to patient care. Outside of work, Butler enjoys spending time with family, playing recreational soccer, traveling and reading.
