Sara Lynn Skillman, C-PNP

Sara Lynn Skillman is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner with clinical interests in diabetes, mental health and newborn care. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from East Carolina University and master’s degree in nursing from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Skillman’s nursing background includes pediatric intensive care in addition to general pediatric primary care.

Skillman uses a gentle, caring approach with her patients. Establishing a strong patient-provider relationship is important to her, including using an evidence-based practice to guide her treatment plans. Outside of work, Skillman enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, walking their dogs and visiting Ocracoke.
