About Me
Sara Forbes is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with clinical interests in cancer screening and early detection, diabetes education, women’s health, and advance care planning. She received her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Forbes strives to get to know her patients on a personal level and meet every patient where they are. She makes an effort to understand where they come from and all the individual factors that could be influential in their care. Forbes also makes the time to explain the plan of care as well as the supporting evidence to empower patients in their own medical decision making. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their two young daughters, and two rescue dogs. Forbes loves traveling, playing board games, volleyball, and trivia nights. She is also a big Carolina Hurricanes fan!
