Ryan McAvoy, PA-C

Ryan McAvoy is a board-certified physician assistant with clinical interests that include full-spectrum family medicine and long-term patient-provider relationship development across the lifespan. McAvoy entered his practice, interested in preventive care, chronic disease management and management of common acute complaints. He completed his undergraduate education at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Edwardsville, IL. He then earned a master’s degree through the Methodist University Physician Assistant Program in Fayetteville, NC.

McAvoy’s approach to patient care starts with compassion and respect. He strives to treat every patient like a member of his own family. This starts with good communication where he listens carefully to their wishes and goals, while explaining medical concepts in clear language. A patient advocate, he believes trust is built when patients feel heard, informed and genuinely cared for.

McAvoy’s personal interests and hobbies include maintaining an active lifestyle, spending time with friends, traveling to Illinois to see family, hanging out with his dog (Maverick), hiking, cooking and exploring the world.
