About Me
Ron Fazio is a board-certified cardiothoracic and vascular surgery physician assistant with clinical expertise in saphenous vein or radial artery harvesting and thoracic robotic surgery. Ron has been a physician assistant since 1993 and joined WakeMed in 2006. He received his physician assistant certification from Bayley Seton Hospital Physician Assistant Program, which is now part of St. John's University Physician Assistant Program in New York.
Ron strives to treat his patients how he would want to be treated. He enjoys taking the time to educate them on their condition and provides comfort when needed. His mission is to enhance patient outcomes by providing a positive attitude, open communication, having explicit attention to detail, and exhibiting compassionate care for people in need. On his days off, Ron enjoys spending time with his three daughters. As an ex-pro-football player, Ron enjoys participating in out-of-the-ordinary, unique hobbies.
