About Me
Dr. Pujan Patel is a board-certified, thrice fellowship-trained, heart failure and transplant cardiologist with a strong interest in advanced heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and left ventricular assist device (LVAD) management. He was previously the medical director for the Ventricular Assist Device Program at AdventHealth in Orlando, FL, leading the program to a record number of devices implantations. He is passionate about improving patient outcomes through innovative therapies and comprehensive management strategies.
Dr. Patel completed medical school at Medical University of Lublin in Poland. He relocated to Gainesville, FL, to attend University of Florida, where he completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship and chief fellowship in cardiovascular disease. He then moved to Atlanta, GA, to complete an additional fellowship in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at Emory University.
Dr. Patel’s patient care philosophy revolves around a patient-centered approach, emphasizing open communication and collaboration. He believes in actively engaging with patients to empower them in their health care journey and ensure their voices are heard in treatment decisions.
Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking. He also likes traveling because it allows him to explore new areas and cultures around the world. Community service is also important to him. These hobbies and activities help him maintain balance and connections with people from diverse backgrounds.
