About Me

Dr. Praveen Namireddy is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist who specializes in treating patients with lung cancer, and esophageal cancer. He also treats patients with solid malignancies, malignant hematology and benign hematology. Dr. Namireddy received his medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India, and completed his internal medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York. He completed his fellowship training at East Carolina University and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

Post training, Dr. Namireddy served as the Affiliate Associate Professor of Medicine at East Carolina University, teaching fellows, residents, and medical students. He authored several publications focusing on biomarker detection in lung cancer and circulating tumor DNA.

Dr. Namireddy strives to provide the most innovative treatment options available to his patients. “Personalized cancer therapy is at the heart of my treatment philosophy. I strongly believe that a multidisciplinary team approach improves cancer survival outcomes and quality of life. During treatment, I enjoy building long term relationships with my patients, getting to know them and their families.”

Dr. Namireddy is fluent in Telugu and Hindi and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.

When not at work, Dr. Namireddy enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
