Phillip Deal, DO

Dr. Phillip Deal is a board-certified family medicine physician, with clinical interests in chronic disease management, good preventive care and patient education. He particularly enjoys helping patients understand their health, so they feel confident in their care. He also has a passion for medical education and finds it rewarding to help future physicians develop their clinical skills and compassion for patients. He graduated with a bachelor of science in biology and bachelor of arts in psychology from University of North Carolina Wilmington in Wilmington, NC. For medical school, he attended Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Buies Creek, NC. He finished residency training at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

Dr. Deal believes great patient care starts with genuine human connection. He wants all patients to feel heard, respected and comfortable discussing their concerns. His goal is to treat the whole person, not just a diagnosis, and build trusting relationships through compassion, open communication and shared decision-making. Above all, he wants patients to know that he genuinely cares about their health and well-being.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Deal loves spending time with his children and enjoying new experiences together. He also plays golf, spends time outdoors, explores new places and loves trying new restaurants. And when he has vacation time, he enjoys going to Disney World.
