About Me
Pace Johnston is a board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric cardiologist with clinical interests in general pediatric cardiology, echocardiography, fetal echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography (CT) and cardiac magnetic resonance. Dr. Johnston studied biomedical engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. He went on to medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. He trained in pediatrics at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO and completed two fellowship programs in pediatric cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH.
Dr. Johnston believes strongly in providing cardiac expertise to patients and their families from which shared medical decisions can be formed consistent with their personal values.
When not seeing patients at WakeMed, Dr. Johnston can be found on a sports field or gym supporting his daughters, trying restaurants with his wife as well as running and playing tennis.
