Nancy Barrett, FNP-C

Nancy Barrett is a certified family nurse practitioner with clinical interests in oncology, palliative care and anemia management. She earned her undergraduate degree at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Greensboro, NC. She went on to complete her masters through Winston Salem State University in Winston Salem, NC.

Barrett's unwavering belief in patient-centered care is a cornerstone of her approach, rooted in her respect for each patient's unique preferences and her steadfast commitment to uphold their dignity at every stage of the health care process. She recognizes that each individual comes with a distinct set of values, experiences and aspirations, which shape their understanding of health and wellness. This awareness drives her to actively listen to her patients, fostering open lines of communication where they feel safe to express their concerns and desires. By taking the time to truly understand the goals of each patient, Barrett is able to tailor her care strategies, ensuring that they are aligned with what matters most to them. In every interaction, Barrett strives to be more than a caregiver—she aspires to be a trusted partner in her patients' journeys, ensuring they feel valued, understood and dignified throughout their experience.

Outside of work, Barrett enjoys spending every free moment with her family.
