About Me
Monikah Kelly is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a background in emergency medicine, primary care and critical care. She received her master’s in nursing from Carson-Newman University in Tennessee and her bachelor’s in nursing from Union College in Nebraska. Kelly began her nursing career in 2017 and joined the WakeMed family in 2019, bringing her several years of Intensive care and emergency medicine background to the health system.
Kelly has always been interested in hands-on medicine, dermatology, weight management, mental health and nutrition for the entire family. Kelly 's patient care philosophy is centered around a holistic, team-based approach, encouraging patients to contribute to their healthcare journey. She strives to provide patients with the tools and assistance to improve their health through positive and healthy lifestyle choices. As a provider, Kelly encourages patients to improve their physical, mental and emotional health. She treats each patient with the same care she’d want for her own family.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her golden retriever and exploring the outdoors with her family and friends. She enjoys working out, growing her plant collection, traveling and experimenting in the kitchen.
