Monica Oei, MD

Dr. Monica Oei, board certified in family medicine, enjoys supporting her patients and caring for entire families through all stages of life. As a primary care provider, Dr. Oei prides herself in maintaining a patient's complete medical record and assisting patients in achieving their highest level of health. With her strong relationships with entire families and her background in family medicine, she is highly qualified to serve as a patient advocate in all health-related issues. Communication with the patient and their families is a key factor in the physician-patient relationship. Dr. Monica Oei enjoys the challenge of inspiring and enlightening patients about their medical condition and treatment options.
Dr. Oei also serves as a regional director of primary care for WakeMed Primary Care North Raleigh.

Dr. Oei grew up in New York and, together with her husband, is raising their beautiful daughters in her husband's home state of North Carolina. Aside from work, Dr. Oei loves art, cooking and enjoys reading. Dr. Monica Oei is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and medical Spanish. Areas of special interest to her are the management of chronic diseases and women's health. Dr. Oei practices family medicine at Falls Pointe Medical Group in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Education and Training

Dr. Monica Oei earned her undergraduate degree in biology from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). Dr. Oei studied medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed her residency in family medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
