Miranda Ave, MD

Dr. Miranda Ave is a board-certified pediatrician with clinical interests in patient safety, preventative care and care for children with medical complexity. She earned her bachelor’s degree and remained to attend medical school at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. She then relocated to Chapel Hill, NC, where she completed residency at University of North Carolina Hospitals.

Dr. Ave believes in taking a patient-centered approach to care and engaging in shared decision-making with families. She focuses on partnering with families to build trusting, long-term relationships. Her favorite aspect of pediatrics is caring for patients from birth to young adulthood. She believes in practicing evidence-based medicine and advocating for her patients to provide high-quality, compassionate care.

Outside of work, Dr. Ave enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs. Together, they love going on walks and hiking around the beautiful Triangle! She also enjoys cooking, traveling and caring for her many plants.
