About Me
Melissa Rogers is a seasoned Physician Assistant who has been with Wake Orthopedics and WakeMed for over 18 years. She earned her Physician Assistant degree from Gannon University, Erie PA in 1991 and prior to joining Wake Orthopedics, she started her journey in orthopedic surgery in West Palm Beach, FL for 16 years. Her orthopedics experience includes 30 plus years in the operating room, hospital consultations, emergency department consults and procedures, office sessions and she is currently part of a robust team of advanced practice providers (APPs) who run our orthopedic urgent cares. Her experience lends to treating or stabilizing most orthopedic conditions in all age groups.
Melissa values attention to detail and treating others as she would want to be treated. She is committed to ensure each patient understands their orthopedic condition, current and upcoming treatment and educating patients on factors that can affect their outcomes. She enjoys mentoring new hires and having potential future PA students shadow her.
Melissa is married and has 2 adult children. She enjoys time with her family, dog, hiking and other outdoor activities as well as reading.
