About Me
Megan Mortenson is a certified genetic counselor with over 16 years of experience. She specializes in hereditary cancer conditions, such as hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndrome (BRCA1/2) and Lynch syndrome. She completed her masters with a special focus in genetic counseling at the University of South Carolina.
Megan works with the team at WakeMed Cancer Care to provide cancer risk assessments and to guide cancer patients and their families through the genetic testing process. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors. When not at work, Megan enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband and two boys.
