Mary Liz Simmons-Sherlock, FNP-C

Mary Liz Simmons-Sherlock is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with clinical interests educating and treating patients on the issues that surround women’s health such as polycystic ovarian syndrome, cycle health, and family planning. She received her nurse practitioner degree from Purdue University, in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Simmons-Sherlock strives to always be compassionate and caring to both her patients and their families. She understands that she is not only caring for the patient’s physical health, but also their emotional needs. Her philosophy is characterized by holistic, empathetic, and culturally sensitive care to all. Care involves seeing the whole patient, and not just a single illness or health concern. Using a holistic perspective, Simmons-Sherlock likes to consider all facets of a patient while working towards their goal. That goal may be good overall health, family planning or pregnancy.

Simmons-Sherlock feels that it is essential for her to be a patient advocate, provider, teacher, and leader so she can deliver the highest quality care. She is committed toward life-long learning, through formal education and hands-on experience to better herself and her knowledge of women’s health. Outside of work, Simmons-Sherlock enjoys hiking, tennis, pickle ball and spending time at the beach with family.
