About Me
Board certified in cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Marc Silver specializes in adult cardiology, with expertise in pacemaker, defibrillator, and biventricular device implantation and follow-up; echocardiography, general cardiology and cardiovascular disease prevention. He is also active in clinical research.
Dr. Silver joined the cardiology team at WakeMed in 2002 and since then has been particularly impressed with and gratified by this organization’s mission to always put the patient first.
“Put simply, we care about making people feel better. It’s our mission to take care of anyone who walks through our doors, regardless of their ability to pay,” explained Dr. Silver. “Here at WakeMed, from the doctors to the nurses to the members of our ancillary staff, we take pride in the care we are able to deliver and the differences we are able to make in people’s lives and this community.”
Dr. Silver’s patients appreciate his dedication to being on time for appointments, as well as his efforts to develop meaningful relationships with them and his belief in avoiding any unnecessary cardiac testing. He works alongside each of his patients to develop an individualized care plan that includes exercise, diet and medication.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Silver is a self-proclaimed golf addict. He and his wife have three children, and he also devotes much of his spare time to his family.
