Lucia Reyes, MD

Dr. Lucia Reyes is a board-certified family medicine physician with clinical interests in practicing full-spectrum family medicine, taking care of patients of all ages, women's health and performing in-office procedures, such as IUDs, nexplanons and joint injections. Dr. Reyes earned her medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio, and completed her family medicine residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Dr. Reyes joined WakeMed after working as a family medicine physician in Fort Myers, Florida.

Dr. Reyes believes in well-rounded care for her patients. She also feels that health is a composite of all factors, including psychological, social and environmental, which are all important to her to address in order to take care of her patients. In addition, Dr. Reyes likes to practice evidence-based medicine and enjoys staying up to date on new research regarding treatments so that she can share it with her patients as they make decisions together as a team to determine what is best for their care. Outside of work, Dr. Reyes enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, hiking and boating.
