About Me

Leah Hewett McGuire, PA-C is a native of Shallotte, NC. She received her Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences from North Carolina State University in 2004. She relocated to Harrisonburg, VA where she received her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from James Madison University in 2006.

Leah has been at Wake Orthopaedics since 2007. She has worked with every subspecialty in our practice in the operating room, in the inpatient setting, and in the outpatient setting. She joined the Wake Orthopaedics Urgent Care Team in 2022, bringing her knowledge from the previous 15 years of practice at Wake Orthopaedics to provide quality care to our patients.

In her free time, Leah enjoys spending time with her daughters and traveling as much as possible.

The receptionist was kind, patient and knowledgeable. The doctor listened and understood my problem. The X-ray technician was as gentle as he could be while taking the X-rays. The pa was as gentle as she could be while checking my very painful arm and recommended something for pain for which I was very grateful. Everyone was very knowledgeable and patient and understanding.

Good staff and a very detailed exam by Dr Leah McGuire. By second day I started feeling some results. By Monday I was able to walk without a cane. Still had pain but was able to walk as I had so many things to do that day and all week. Thanks, I will come back if I have any issues.
