Lauren Scarfo, PA

Lauren Scarfo is a board-certified physician assistant with clinical interests in cardiothoracic surgery, cardiology, heart failure and health maintenance and prevention. Scarfo completed her bachelor’s of science in human movement and performance, as well as her bachelor’s of art degree in Spanish at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. Scarfo attended the physician assistant program at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina.

Scarfo always strives to put compassion at the forefront of care and feels that a patient-centered approach is key. She believes that the patient always comes first, and that a large part of her role is to be their advocate. Scarfo also believes that patients should feel like their provider is on their side. Scarfo enjoys getting to know each of her patients as a person and tries to put into perspective how she would want her family member to be cared for if they were in the patient’s position. Outside of work, Scarfo enjoys spending quality time with her husband and dog, staying active and being outdoors. Scarfo also enjoys hiking, camping and traveling to the mountains or beach with her family.
