Krystal Irizarry, MD

Dr. Krystal Irizarry is a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist with clinical interests in diabetes and endocrine diseases. She completed her undergraduate degree while attending Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. She relocated to Albany, NY to complete medical school at Albany Medical College. Thereafter, she completed her medical training at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC, focusing on pediatrics for her residency and pediatric endocrinology for her fellowship.

Dr. Irizarry emphasizes that exceptional patient care involves truly listening to patients and grasping the unique situations surrounding their health issues. She creates a collaborative atmosphere by welcoming questions and concerns from both patients and their families. By incorporating their insights into the development of medical care plans, she strives to treat each patient with the same compassion and attention she would offer to her own loved ones.

Outside of work, Dr. Irizarry enjoys being outside in nature — hiking, biking and running. She also plays piano. Her greatest treasure, however, is time spent with her husband, three children and pets.
