About Me
Katie Salisbury is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a clinical interest in general cardiology, including congestive heart failure subspecialty. Salisbury has remained passionate about cardiology since beginning her career as a nurse in the cardiovascular intensive care unit at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She received her master’s in nursing (adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner) from Vanderbilt University and bachelor’s in nursing from Belmont University, both in Nashville, TN.
Salisbury’s primary approach is to treat everyone with kindness, compassion and respect. Her patient care philosophy is centered around evidence-based practice medicine; however, she feels it is important to tailor goals of care to each individual patient.
In her spare time, Salisbury enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and two dogs! She loves to run/exercise, bake fun new recipes and make arts and crafts activities with her toddler.
