Kathryn Salisbury, NP

Kathryn Salisbury is a board-certified nurse practitioner with WakeMed Cardiology. Salisbury’s clinical interest is in general cardiology, including congestive heart failure subspecialty. She received her master’s in nursing (Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner) from Vanderbilt University and bachelor’s in nursing from Belmont University, both in Nashville, Tennessee.

Salisbury’s primary approach in caring for her patients is to treat everyone with kindness, compassion and respect. Her patient care philosophy is centered around evidence-based practice medicine; however, she feels it is important to tailor goals of care to each individual patient. In her spare time, you will find Salisbury running, hiking, taking exercise classes with friends and spending time with her husband and family. Salisbury also enjoys spending time with her two hyper bird dogs, Piper and Oakley.
