About Me
Kara Leach is a speech language pathologist with clinical interests in infant feeding disorders, childhood feeding disorders, oral motor disorders, tongue thrust, tethered oral tissues, (TOTs), infant/ child dysphagia and swallowing disorders. Leach has significant specialty training in the sequential oral sensory (SOS) feeding approach, orofacial myology, tethered oral tissues, baby friendly techniques for tongue tie and oral dysfunction in infants. She completed her undergraduate degree at Goucher College in Towson, MD. She then earned her master's degree while attending Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. She is a member of the International Association of Orofacial Myology.
Leach offers personalized, research-driven feeding therapy tailored to all patients and their families. She takes pleasure in building relationships with her patients and designing therapy programs that help them achieve their fullest potential as they develop.
When not caring for patients, Leach enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, running, hiking, camping and enjoying time with family.
