About Me
Joy Zaccaria is a physician assistant with clinical interests in hematology/medical oncology and mental health.
Zaccaria’s personal patient care philosophy is built on a foundation of treating the whole patient — physically, logistically and emotionally — and meeting patients where they are along their journey. A cancer diagnosis is overwhelming and life-changing, so Zaccaria offers information regarding the "big picture" and reinforces going one step at a time. She appreciates the collaborative nature of oncology and individualized approach to practically and attainably tailoring a plan and setting a goal to improve overall quality of life. She also encourages a path of wellness and offers transparent guidance when more difficult decisions need to be made.
When not at work, Zaccaria enjoys biking, hiking, spending time with her pets, container gardening, travelling, taking photographs and creative writing.
